ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and strategically minded Accountant to join our finance team.
This role will be responsible for accounting for our store revenue, expenses, and inventory and reconciling our balance sheet accounts as assigned. The ideal candidate will be a strong team player, a committed and driven team member with the ability to adapt to change while taking over an increasing amount of accounting and reporting volume as our company grows.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Critical hands-on support for month-end accounting close process including proper posting of cash, sales, cost of goods and general and administrative expenses.
- Responsible for creating, analyzing, and maintaining all critical monthly balance sheet reconciliation schedules including but not limited to Accounts Receivable and Roll-forward, Prepaid Expenses, Rebate Receivables, Accrued Liabilities, Accrued Payroll, ROU Assets, Accrued Interest and Loan balances Roll-forward.
- Perform monthly income statement and balance sheet trends analysis to support periodic reporting and variance analytic to compare with budget and/or actual as prior year.
- Be responsible for reconciliation and review of P.O.S. transactions with both the accounting records, bank activities and merchant vendor settlement activities.
- Review transactions from food delivery platforms included but not limited to Door Dash, Uber, Eats Olo, EZ Cater for irregularity, prepare and record journal entries for relevant fees, receivable, and liabilities.
- Responsible for creating, analyzing, and maintaining bank reconciliation.
- Prepare other recurring and as needed journal entries.
- Maintain and update the fixed asset ledger to properly record assets and related depreciation.
- Perform periodic sales tax filing property tax filing.
- Closely work with the operation team on inventory management, perform and maintain a periodic inventory reconciliation and adjusting entries
- Assist in annual financial audits by interfacing with auditors and preparing required schedules.
- Perform research and analysis as required, assist with other related ad hoc.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- CPA Preferred and an advantage but not required.
- 4 years of proven experience as an accountant or related accounting field work.
- Strong grasp in US GAAP accounting procedures and guidelines.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, excellent time management ability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems or related technologies, or related financial systems, willing to be trained in organization software systems.
- Willing to work graveyard shifts, US Pacific time zone, or on an assigned, variable schedule. Available to work extended hours during month-end closing periods.
- Must possess excellent oral and written English communication skills.
- Advanced Excel modeling includes skills in vlookup, sumif, index, complex pivot tables and more.
- Willing to work on US Pacific time zone, or on an assigned, variable schedule.
- Amenable working 100% Hybrid in Angeles City, Pampanga (Marquee Mall).
Pay: Php125,000.00 - Php135,000.00 per month
