Electrical Inspector
Target Engineering Consultants – Dubai South, Dubai, UAE
Target Engineering Consultants is seeking an experienced Electrical Inspector to join our project team in Dubai South.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and monitor electrical installation works on site.
- Ensure electrical works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Inspect power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, containment, earthing, and other electrical installations.
- Review Inspection Requests (IRs) and verify works before consultant inspection.
- Check electrical materials and equipment against approved submittals.
- Review shop drawings, method statements, and ITPs.
- Verify installation quality, workmanship, levels, alignment, supports, and connections.
- Monitor testing and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate electrical works with civil, architectural, and mechanical disciplines.
- Identify defective or non-conforming works and report observations/NCRs.
- Follow up on corrective actions and closure of outstanding comments.
- Maintain daily inspection and site records.
- Assist with snagging and project handover activities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Dubai/UAE electrical standards and authority requirements.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in electrical inspection/site supervision.
- Strong knowledge of building electrical systems.
- UAE experience is preferred.
- Consultancy experience is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of IRs, ITPs, Method Statements, NCRs, and testing procedures.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Willingness to work on-site in Dubai South.
