About the Opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced Intercontinental Inbound Logistics Engineer to support the design, implementation, and optimization of international inbound transportation networks. This role focuses primarily on ocean freight and international air transportation, ensuring reliable material flow, efficient transportation execution, and continuity of supply.

You will work closely with Supply Chain, Inbound Operations, Finance, carriers, suppliers, logistics providers, and other cross-functional stakeholders to improve transportation performance and implement new or changing logistics setups. This role combines logistics engineering, data analysis, network optimization, and hands-on implementation, with a strong focus on improving cost, service, capacity, lead time, and overall network efficiency.

What You'll Do:

Design, implement, and optimize intercontinental inbound transportation networks, primarily across ocean and international air freight.
Develop and maintain transportation routes, delivery frequencies, consolidation strategies, transport modes, delivery windows, and network parameters.
Lead the implementation of new transportation lanes, carrier changes, supplier relocations, and other network adjustments.
Support transportation go-lives and stabilization activities to ensure new or modified logistics setups transition successfully into operations.
Analyze actual transportation performance against planned and contracted transit times and identify opportunities for improvement.
Recommend transit-time and lead-time adjustments that balance supply continuity, transportation performance, inventory, and working capital.
Maintain alignment of transportation and lead-time parameters across relevant logistics and planning systems.
Develop rolling volume forecasts and coordinate transportation capacity requirements with carriers and operational teams.
Monitor and improve key transportation KPIs, including fill rate, utilization, transit time, lead time, delivery frequency, cost, and goods in transit.
Develop end-to-end transportation solutions and business cases that balance cost, service, capacity, and operational feasibility.
Analyze logistics performance and cost drivers and translate findings into practical network improvements.
Partner with internal teams, suppliers, carriers, and logistics providers to ensure transportation solutions are effectively implemented.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and develop practical solutions to evolving transportation and supply chain challenges.

What We're Looking For:

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
Experience in logistics engineering, transportation network design, inbound logistics, or supply chain optimization, preferably within automotive, manufacturing, or another complex international supply chain.
Hands-on experience with intercontinental transportation, particularly ocean freight and international air transportation.
Strong understanding of transportation routing, consolidation, delivery frequency, capacity planning, transit times, lead times, and network design.
Experience working with TMS, MRP, logistics systems, and transportation data to support operational and business decisions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex logistics data into actionable recommendations.
Advanced proficiency in Excel, including analysis of transportation costs, volumes, utilization, fill rates, transit times, forecasts, and other logistics KPIs.
Proficiency in PowerPoint with the ability to clearly communicate data-driven findings and recommendations.
Experience with Power BI or similar data analytics tools is a plus.
Ability to quickly understand existing processes, systems, and operational priorities and contribute with limited onboarding.
Strong communication, project coordination, and cross-functional stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive improvements from analysis through implementation.
