Blu Omega is seeking a Manual Tester to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This role is responsible for performing hands-on manual testing throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure the delivery of secure, reliable, and high-quality applications supporting mission-critical healthcare and federal technology initiatives.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute manual test strategies, plans, cases, scripts, and supporting documentation.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, system, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing.
- Validate application functionality, interfaces, data, user roles, and complex workflows against requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Identify, document, triage, retest, and close defects with clear evidence and severity assessments.
- Maintain requirements traceability and ensure test coverage across releases.
- Validate fixes and perform regression testing to prevent regressions.
- Collaborate with analysts, developers, product owners, and stakeholders to identify quality issues early.
- Support UAT activities and validate application functionality with business and technical teams.
- Maintain comprehensive testing documentation and evidence for quality, compliance, and release purposes.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of software quality assurance or testing experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with manual application testing.
- Experience developing and executing various test types (functional, integration, regression, system, end-to-end).
- Ability to validate requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, maintaining traceability.
- Skilled in documenting, tracking, and closing software defects.
- Experience with Agile software development and delivery.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required government credentials, including a PIV if applicable.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting VA or federal health IT programs.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Git, Microsoft 365, and Agile tools.
- Experience with VistA applications, patch development, testing, or release processes.
- Knowledge of InterSystems IRIS, MUMPS, or related VA legacy technologies.
- Testing experience with VA Pharmacy applications or other VA clinical systems.
Compensation
Salary Range: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00
Final compensation is based on technical skills, experience, education, certifications, and clearance.
