Overview
We're looking for a Web Developer who can independently take website designs from Figma and turn them into fully functional, production-ready web pages using Next.js. You'll own the end-to-end UI development of our website from writing clean component code to deploying it live on Vercel.
Key Responsibilities
- Convert Figma designs into pixel-accurate, responsive web pages using Nextjs
- Build and maintain reusable UI components
- Own end-to-end UI development of the website — from coding to deployment
- Deploy and manage builds on Vercel, troubleshoot deployment issues
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness
- Optimize website performance (load speed, SEO basics, image optimization)
- Collaborate closely with the designer to clarify design intent and suggest UI/UX improvements
- Fix bugs and continuously improve existing website code
- Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code
Must-Have Skills
- React.js and Next js — strong hands-on experience building UI with React.js and Next.js
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+) — strong fundamentals
- Figma to code — ability to read Figma files and translate designs into working code accurately
- Vercel deployment — understanding of deploying and managing Next js apps on Vercel
- Responsive design — building websites that work across devices and screen sizes
- Git/Bitbucket — comfortable with version control workflows
Frameworks & Libraries
- Next.js (SSR/SSG, routing, API routes l), webgl, three.js, react.js
- Tailwind CSS, Bootstrap, or styled-components / CSS-in-JS
- TypeScript
- Framer Motion / GSAP for animations
- State management: Redux, Zustand, Context API, React Query
Design & UI Tools
- Figma (auto-layout, components, design tokens, plugins)
- Adobe XD (as a backup design tool)
- Basic understanding of design systems and component libraries (e.g., shadcn/ui, Material UI, Ant Design)
Web Fundamentals & Performance
- SEO best practices (meta tags, semantic HTML, sitemap, Open Graph tags)
- Performance optimization (Lighthouse scores, lazy loading, code splitting, image compression, caching)
- Web accessibility
- Cross-browser testing and debugging
Testing & Quality
- Basic testing knowledge: Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress
- Linting/formatting: ESLint, Prettier
Soft Skills
- Ownership mindset — can take a design and ship it live independently
- Strong communication — able to clarify design/requirement gaps with the designer or team
- Detail-oriented — cares about pixel-perfect implementation
- Proactive problem solver, doesn't need hand-holding
- Must be able to join immediately and already based in Dubai.
