The Opportunity

Join a leading organisation in a role that will strengthen your legal career.

- Duration: 12 months

- Arrangement: Full time (hybrid)

- Location: Brisbane

About You

You are an experienced competition and consumer lawyer with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience, bringing a strong track record from private practice or in-house roles within large organisations.

Your Experience and Expertise:

- Strong experience in competition and consumer law within a large corporate, telecommunications or regulated industry environment

- Demonstrated experience advising on compliance with Australian Consumer Law and competition law requirements

- Expertise in reviewing and advising on consumer-facing offers, promotions, pricing initiatives and marketing campaigns

- Experience identifying and managing legal and regulatory risks associated with tactical offers and customer propositions

- Ability to provide clear, practical and commercially focused legal advice to business stakeholders

- Strong understanding of consumer protection obligations, misleading and deceptive conduct provisions and unfair contract term regimes

- Experience supporting product, marketing and commercial teams on the development and launch of consumer initiatives

- Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating a range of commercial and consumer-related documents

- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence business decisions at multiple levels

Requirements:

- Current Australian practising certificate
