The Opportunity

- Duration: 6-12 months

- Arrangement: Full time (hybrid)

- Location: Melbourne

About You

You are an experienced construction lawyer with a minimum of 5 years' experience, bringing a strong track record from private practice or in-house roles within large organisations.

Your Experience and Expertise:

- Demonstrated experience in construction, infrastructure and major projects law

- Strong experience advising on the procurement and delivery of major infrastructure projects

- Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating construction and project delivery contracts

- Knowledge of procurement frameworks, tendering processes and contract administration

- Experience supporting large-scale rail, transport or other complex infrastructure projects

- Experience advising on project delivery issues, contractual disputes and contract interpretation matters

- Ability to provide practical and commercially focused legal advice to project teams and stakeholders

- Familiarity with construction industry standard form contracts and procurement documentation

- Experience negotiating with contractors, consultants, suppliers and project delivery partners

- Ability to work closely with project, procurement and commercial teams throughout the project lifecycle

- Experience advising on governance, compliance and contractual obligations within a project environment

- Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working with senior project and business leaders

- Experience supporting the delivery of complex projects from procurement through to completion

- Current Australian practising certificate
