The role is mainly focused on new development and enhancements (around 95%), with limited production support/maintenance.
The candidate will work in an Agile/Scrum environment and will be responsible for application development, Python-based AI/ML pipelines, PostgreSQL database, APIs, CI/CD and Kubernetes-based deployments.
- Python – Mandatory
- Strong hands-on Python development.
- Experience with ML/AI development or pipelines.
- Look for: PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn or similar.
- PostgreSQL – Mandatory
- Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL Administration.
- Database schema design
- SQL queries
- Indexing
- Query optimisation
- Performance tuning/troubleshooting
- Database migrations
- Connection pool configuration
- Important: Client specifically wants PostgreSQL Administration experience.
- Kubernetes / Rancher – Mandatory
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing applications in Kubernetes.
- Rancher experience is an advantage.
- Container troubleshooting, logs, resource limits, service restarts, etc.
- GitLab CI/CD – Mandatory
- Experience creating/maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Build, test and deployment automation.
- GitLab merge requests and release processes.
- Red Hat Linux – Mandatory
- Hands-on Linux experience, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Log analysis, service management and shell scripting.
Experience Required
- 3–5 years of overall software development experience.
- At least 2 years of experience working with containerised applications/platforms, preferably Kubernetes.
- Strong hands-on Python development.
- Experience working with ML/AI libraries or pipelines.
- Strong hands-on PostgreSQL Administration.
