Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Client Support Technician for a contract staff augmentation opportunity in Jackson, Mississippi.
The selected candidate will provide hands-on desktop, help desk, and end-user technical support in an enterprise Microsoft environment. The role involves troubleshooting Windows systems, desktops, laptops, printers, mobile and wireless devices, Microsoft 365 applications, user accounts, permissions, and basic networking issues.
This is a 100% onsite position in Jackson, Mississippi. Remote candidates should not be submitted.

Key Responsibilities

Provide onsite end-user and desktop technical support.
-
Troubleshoot desktop PCs, laptops, notebooks, monitors, printers, and mobile devices.

Install, configure, update, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems.

Support Microsoft 365 and Office applications.
-
Set up and configure employee workstations.
-
Create and manage user accounts.
-
Configure user permissions and access.
-
Support employee onboarding and offboarding.
-
Respond to help desk requests through phone, chat, and in-person support.

Log and track incidents using ticketing systems.
-
Troubleshoot basic DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, and network connectivity issues.

Install and maintain hardware and software.

Maintain hardware and software inventory.
-
Support endpoint security tools.
-
Escalate complex technical issues when necessary.

Provide professional, patient, and customer-focused support to end users.
Required Qualifications
-
3–5 years of relevant desktop, help desk, service desk, or IT support experience preferred.

Hands-on experience with Windows 10/11, especially Windows 11.
-
Experience troubleshooting desktops and laptops/notebooks.

Experience supporting and troubleshooting printers.

Experience supporting wireless devices.
-
Experience with Microsoft 365 / Office 365.

Knowledge of Active Directory / Azure AD / Entra ID.

Understanding of DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP.

Experience using IT ticketing or service management systems.

Knowledge of endpoint security tools.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Strong communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications

Azure / Active Directory experience.

PowerShell experience.

CompTIA A+ certification.

CompTIA Network+ certification.

Microsoft certifications.
-
Enterprise, government, education, healthcare, or other structured IT support experience.
Education
Minimum:

Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on Desktop Support Technician, Help Desk Technician, IT Support Technician, Service Desk Technician, or Technical Support Specialist with approximately 3–5 years of practical end-user support experience.
Candidates should have strong experience with:
