Job Summary
Under broad supervision, the IT Business Analyst 3 analyzes customer business needs and participates in the planning, design, implementation, and support of new or enhanced systems. The position may also act as a team or project leader.
The role will primarily support Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Practice Management systems and will collaborate with clinical staff, technical teams, administrators, vendors, and developers.
Entry Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND two years of related supervisory experience; OR

Associate's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND three years of related experience, including two years in a related supervisory position; OR
-
Two years of experience at the lower-level IT Enterprise Business Analyst 2 or equivalent position.
Key Responsibilities

Support development and integration activities involving HL7 standards.

Manage and maintain EHR and Practice Management systems.

Gather, analyze, and document business requirements.

Collaborate with clinical, technical, administrative, and development stakeholders.
-
Provide ongoing EHR troubleshooting, support, updates, and maintenance.
-
Ensure data accuracy, system reliability, and HIPAA-compliant security.
-
Work with developers and administrators to resolve technical issues.
-
Perform system updates, patches, and backups.
-
Coordinate with software vendors to resolve application issues.
-
Provide technical support to end users.

Assist with training clinic staff on EHR functionality.

Analyze clinical workflows and recommend system/process improvements.

Generate and analyze reports for clinical and administrative users.

Provide advanced Windows troubleshooting and cloud-platform support.

Create detailed JIRA tickets for technical issues and enhancements.

Use REST APIs, Postman, and Swagger for testing and documentation.

Follow IT security best practices.

Monitor healthcare IT trends and recommend appropriate improvements.

Participate in on-call or off-hours support when required.
Required Experience
-
3–5 years of experience supporting EHR and Practice Management systems in a medical clinic, hospital, or similar healthcare environment.

Experience with EHR implementation, configuration, troubleshooting, and ongoing support.

Experience working with complex healthcare IT systems.
Education

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; OR

Minimum two years of experience working with Hospital IT or similarly complex systems.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has strong healthcare IT experience, particularly supporting EHR/Practice Management systems, with hands-on knowledge of HL7, clinical workflows, Windows, cloud platforms, JIRA, APIs, and application troubleshooting.
