Overview
Procom Enterprises, Ltd. is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of security and communication system installations for our commercial clients. Procom is a commercial security systems integrator and the first System Integrator in Illinois to offer the complete Motorola Solutions ecosystem, delivering enterprise-class video surveillance, access control, advanced analytics, mobile security, and radio communication solutions to organizations across manufacturing, healthcare, government, education, and commercial sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing technical installation projects, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to keep multiple projects on schedule and within budget. Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and oversee the end-to-end execution of security and communication system installation projects, including video surveillance, access control, AI-powered analytics, mobile surveillance units, and Motorola MOTOTRBO radio communication systems.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, providing regular updates on timelines, budgets, and milestones.
- Coordinate with field technicians, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure projects are staffed, equipped, and executed according to scope.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, proactively identifying and resolving risks or delays.
- Manage procurement and delivery of equipment and materials needed for each project.
- Ensure all installations meet company quality standards, client specifications, and relevant industry, safety, and compliance requirements (including FICAM/FIPS-201 where applicable).
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and quality of work.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including change orders, punch lists, and closeout reports.
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, and support teams to ensure a smooth handoff from contract signing through project completion and post-installation support.
- Manage service and maintenance agreements (SLA and block-hour contracts) for completed installations as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably in security systems, low-voltage, telecommunications, construction, or a related technical field.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management credential is a plus.
- Excellent organizational, scheduling, and budgeting skills.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to manage expectations and resolve issues professionally.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and project management or CRM software.
- Familiarity with video surveillance, access control, or radio communication systems (e.g., Avigilon, Motorola Solutions) is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, site plans, and installation specifications.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
