Senior AI Engineer – AI/ML + .NET

Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Generative AI, AI/ML, LLMs, RAG, MCP, AI Agents, Python, and Microsoft .NET technologies.
This is a 70% AI/GenAI and 30% .NET role. You will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and deploying enterprise-grade AI solutions while leveraging C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, SQL Server, Azure OpenAI, and Azure AI Services.
The ideal candidate should have experience taking GenAI solutions from POC/concept through production, with strong expertise in integrating AI capabilities into scalable enterprise applications.
Key ResponsibilitiesGenerative AI & AI Engineering – 70%
- Design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade Generative AI and AI/ML solutions.
- Build applications using LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, Agentic AI, and MCP.
- Develop AI agents capable of reasoning, tool usage, orchestration, planning, and enterprise workflow automation.
- Build end-to-end RAG pipelines, including document ingestion, chunking, embeddings, retrieval, semantic search, and contextual generation.
- Integrate Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Services into enterprise applications.
- Implement prompt engineering and context engineering techniques.
- Work with vector databases, semantic search, AI orchestration frameworks, and LLM-based architectures.
- Develop scalable AI/ML services and integrate them with enterprise systems and APIs.
- Evaluate AI solutions for accuracy, relevance, latency, reliability, scalability, and production readiness.
- Build reusable AI components, APIs, agents, frameworks, and services for enterprise adoption.
- Identify and implement AI/GenAI use cases for enterprise and healthcare workflows.
- Collaborate with architects, product teams, and business stakeholders to translate AI requirements into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot AI services and contribute to root-cause analysis and production issue resolution.
.NET & Enterprise Development – 30%
- Design and develop enterprise applications using C# and .NET Core.
- Build scalable REST APIs and microservices using ASP.NET Core.
- Integrate GenAI/LLM capabilities into existing .NET enterprise applications.
- Develop secure and scalable backend services following clean architecture and industry best practices.
- Work with SQL Server, including query optimization and database performance improvements.
- Develop enterprise integrations and cloud-based application services.
- Participate in technical design, architecture discussions, code reviews, and development activities.
- Ensure application scalability, security, maintainability, and production readiness.
DevOps & Engineering Practices
- Use Git and follow appropriate branching and source-control strategies.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application and AI workloads.
- Follow Agile/Scrum development practices.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and technical discussions.
- Implement automated testing and maintain code quality standards.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Troubleshoot application, API, cloud, and AI-service issues.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering best practices.

Experience & Qualifications
- 7–10 years of overall software development experience.
- 2–4 years of hands-on AI/ML/Generative AI experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core, and ASP.NET Core.
- Proven experience building and deploying LLM, RAG, and AI Agent solutions.
- Experience integrating AI capabilities with enterprise applications and APIs.
- Strong experience with Python for AI/ML and GenAI development.
- Experience working with Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Services is highly preferred.
- Experience taking AI/GenAI solutions from POC to production.
- Healthcare data, applications, workflows, or AI use-case experience is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, technical design, and mentoring skills.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is not purely an AI/ML researcher and not purely a .NET developer.
We are specifically looking for a hands-on engineer who can:
