Qualifications
Must Have:
- Holder of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field. (Non-negotiable)
- With minimum of 5 years of experience in release management, project management, or service transition. (Non-negotiable)
- Advanced knowledge of software development life cycle. (Non-negotiable)
- Advanced knowledge in ITIL. (Non-negotiable)
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross functional work teams toward task completion. (Non-negotiable)
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills as a must. (Non-negotiable)
- General PC knowledge including MS Office. ((Non-negotiable)
- Must have good communication skills. (Non-negotiable)
Good to Have:
- ITIL certification is a nice to have skill.
- Nice to have experience with deploying packaged applications.
- Experience in banking application or systems.
Technical Skills:
- The Release Manager owns the release management lifecycle which includes scheduling, coordinating, and the management of releases across the enterprise for multiple applications across various portfolios.
Job Description
- Implement and manage release processes for code through development, test, and production environment.
- Work collaboratively with all participants in software development projects and is supportive of developers and testers as they set up their build and test environments.
- Build the release calendar in working closely with project managers of different portfolios across IT and centralizing view of all releases.
- Forward plan the release windows and cycles across a portfolio.
- Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality.
- Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within budget, and that they meet or exceed expectations.
- Conduct release readiness reviews, milestone reviews, and business go/no go reviews.
- Produce deployment, run books, and implementation plans.
- Participate in change control board meetings to discuss release scope and roadblocks
Experience:
- release management, prj mngt, or service transition: 5 years (Required)
