The SAP BODS Consultant is responsible for designing, developing, and executing data migration ETL processes supporting an SAP S/4HANA migration. The consultant will leverage SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS) to extract, cleanse, transform, enrich, and validate legacy data, ensuring high-quality data is migrated into the target S/4HANA environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop BODS jobs, workflows, and dataflows for SAP S/4HANA migration.
- Extract data from SAP ECC and non-SAP source systems.
- Perform data cleansing, standardization, mapping, enrichment, and transformation activities.
- Support data harmonization efforts across master and transactional data objects.
- Develop data quality and reconciliation reports to ensure source-to-target data integrity.
- Collaborate with Functional, Data Migration, and Business teams to define mapping and validation rules.
- Support mock conversions, SIT, UAT, Dress Rehearsal, and Production Cutover activities.
- Troubleshoot data migration issues and optimize ETL performance.
- Prepare migration documentation, technical specifications, and operational runbooks.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS) experience.
- Hands-on experience in SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA data migration projects.
- Strong SQL, ETL, data profiling, and data quality management skills.
- Experience handling SAP master data (BP, Customer, Vendor, Material, GL, Cost Center, etc.) and transactional data migration.
- Understanding of migration methodologies, reconciliation techniques, and data validation processes.
- Experience working with SAP Migration Cockpit, SAP Data Services Migration Workbench, Syniti, SNP, or similar migration tools is an advantage.
Number of years of experience needed: At least 3-5 years of BODS experience
