Salesforce QA Automation Engineer

Blu Omega is seeking a Salesforce QA Automation Engineer to support mission-critical federal applications for the Department of Veterans Affairs. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing automated testing solutions to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of Salesforce solutions throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute automated and manual test strategies, plans, and cases.
- Design, build, and maintain automated Salesforce test cases using Provar.
- Create reusable automated tests across multiple Salesforce sandboxes and environments.
- Maintain and update automated test suites in response to functionality changes.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, system, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing.
- Validate Salesforce applications, including data models, security, automation, and integrations.
- Develop data-driven automated tests using locators, XPaths, and test design patterns.
- Document, triage, retest, and close defects with clear evidence and steps.
- Use Git and GitHub for test repository management, automation scripting, and version control.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD build pipelines to support continuous testing.
- Support testing, troubleshooting, and data validation with SOQL, Salesforce APIs, and metadata.
- Review Salesforce release changes and update automation to maintain coverage.
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to improve quality.
- Report on test progress, automation coverage, defects, risks, and release readiness.
- Contribute to the improvement of automation frameworks, standards, and processes.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of software quality assurance, testing, or test automation experience.
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining automated test cases using Provar.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools such as Provar, Selenium, or similar.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce platform functionality, including data models, security, automation, and APIs.
- Experience creating and executing various tests (functional, integration, regression, etc.).
- Ability to build reusable automated tests across Salesforce environments.
- Knowledge of automation concepts including XPaths, locators, data-driven testing, and design patterns.
- Experience managing automation code with Git and GitHub.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated build/deploy processes.
- Basic knowledge of SOQL, Salesforce APIs, and metadata.
- Understanding of Salesforce release impacts and automation maintenance strategies.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required government credentials, including a PIV card.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs or federal health IT programs.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Git, Microsoft 365, and Agile tools.
- Salesforce certifications such as Administrator, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer, or Application Architect.
Compensation
Salary Range: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00
Final compensation is based on technical skills, experience, education, certifications, and clearance.
