Junior Legal Counsel
Key Responsibilities
Support the company’s market expansion and business operations across assigned markets by conducting legal and regulatory research and providing practical legal advice.
Provide day-to-day legal support on commercial matters, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and local regulatory requirements.
Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, business contracts, platform policies, and other legal documents.
Identify and assess legal and compliance risks arising from business activities, and work closely with internal stakeholders to develop practical solutions.
Support the handling of complex or sensitive matters, including employee relations, customer disputes, complaints, regulatory issues, and other unexpected incidents.
Monitor changes in local laws, regulations, and regulatory policies, and communicate key developments and implications to relevant business teams.
Coordinate with external legal counsel and other professional advisors where necessary.
Develop and deliver legal and compliance guidelines and training to business teams to strengthen overall compliance awareness.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or above in Law from a reputable university.
1–3 years of relevant legal experience
, ideally gained in an internet/platform company, technology company, multinational corporation, or reputable law firm.
Strong interest in technology, innovation, and fast-paced commercial environments.
Solid understanding of commercial contracts, regulatory matters, and general corporate legal issues.
Ability to independently identify and assess legal risks and provide practical, business-oriented solutions.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proactive, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Strong sense of ownership and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred
Experience supporting businesses across multiple jurisdictions or markets.
Prior experience in a technology, internet platform, fintech, e-commerce, or other fast-growing business.
Experience working with external counsel and regulatory authorities.
