Responsibilities
Platform Architecture
Design the architecture of an Internal Developer Platform for pilot teams using Backstage or a similar framework
Platform Integration
Integrate the platform with existing CI/CD, cloud, security, and enterprise technology environments
Cloud Architecture
Define and guide cloud architecture using AWS, Azure, GCP, or another major public cloud platform
POC Delivery
Provide technical leadership throughout the POC, adapting the architecture and scope as requirements evolve
Discovery Workshops
Lead discovery workshops and translate business and technical requirements into practical platform solutions
Technical Guidance
Guide technical teams on Platform Engineering, containerization, orchestration, CI/CD, and platform architecture
Stakeholder Communication
Present technical concepts, architecture decisions, and business value to technical and business stakeholders
Architecture Recommendations
Evaluate technologies and approaches and recommend solutions that support scalable and maintainable platform delivery
Requirements
Architecture Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Platform Architect, Cloud Architect, or Solutions Architect
Platform Engineering
Hands-on experience with Internal Developer Platforms or Platform Engineering, such as Backstage, Port, Humanitec, or Cortex
Cloud Architecture
Strong architectural knowledge of at least one public cloud platform, including AWS, Azure, or GCP
CI/CD
Experience designing and implementing CI/CD solutions using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or ArgoCD
Containers & Kubernetes
Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Enterprise Experience
Experience working with enterprise clients and large, multi-team technology organizations
Communication Skills
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value and communicate effectively with stakeholders
Independent Delivery
Ability to work independently under ambiguity and time pressure while maintaining strong stakeholder engagement and presentation skills
