A Lab Technician is responsible for carrying out laboratory tests and procedures accurately and safely. The role involves collecting and handling patient samples such as blood, urine, and other specimens, performing routine laboratory tests, and maintaining proper records of all test results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, label, receive, and properly handle patient samples.
- Perform routine hematology, biochemistry, clinical pathology, and other laboratory tests as required.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Ensure test results are accurate and report any abnormal findings to the concerned senior or doctor.
- Follow proper quality control, safety, and infection-control procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the laboratory and work area.
- Keep proper records of samples, test results, reagents, and laboratory activities.
- Check reagents and consumables and inform the senior staff when supplies are running low.
- Handle patient information and laboratory reports with confidentiality.
- Work as part of the laboratory team and assist in maintaining smooth day-to-day operations.
- Follow all laboratory protocols, SOPs, and applicable safety guidelines.
Required Skills:
- Good knowledge of laboratory procedures and sample handling.
- Ability to operate basic laboratory instruments.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work responsibly under pressure.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety and infection-control practices.
Pay: ₹8,849.86 - ₹30,371.81 per month
