We are currently looking for an Entrepreneur-in-Residence to join the team in Eindhoven.
An innovative ultrasound technology is being prepared for commercialisation through the creation of a new deep-tech venture. We are looking for an experienced Entrepreneur-in-Residence to lead this process from technology development through to venture creation and market entry.
The technology combines advanced ultrasound with thin-film technology and has the potential to address applications in demanding industrial and defence-related markets.
This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial leader to take an emerging deep-tech technology to the next stage, secure the resources required for further development, and build the foundations of a new company.

Main responsibilities
As Entrepreneur-in-Residence, you will take ownership of the venture-building process and work closely with technical experts, investors, industry partners and potential customers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Securing funding and preparing the technology and business case for investors.
- Leading development projects aimed at bringing pillarwave to a higher Technology Readiness Level (TRL).
- Developing the commercial strategy and identifying potential markets and applications.
- Engaging with potential customers and industry partners to validate the technology and build a future customer base.
- Building the team required to establish and grow the venture.
- Developing the foundations of the new company, building the team with the ambition to formally establish the venture in 2027.
- Preferably being willing to invest personally in the venture.
Requirements
We are looking for an experienced entrepreneur and venture builder who combines strong business leadership with an understanding of deep-tech environments.
You bring:
- At least 10 years of experience in venture building, entrepreneurship or a comparable leadership environment.
- A proven track record as a CEO of start-ups and/or scale-ups.
- Experience working within or with the defence industry.
- Experience with thin-film technology, ultrasound technology, or a closely related deep-tech field.
- Demonstrated experience in securing funding and engaging with investors.
- Strong commercial and strategic thinking, with the ability to translate emerging technology into a viable business proposition.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
