About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Security Engineer to join our team and support our clients in managing and securing their Azure cloud environments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex security operations, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of cloud infrastructure. As a Cloud Security Engineer at Alignity, you will be responsible for monitoring, managing, and enhancing security controls across hybrid cloud environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This position is ideal for professionals with a strong background in cloud security, looking to leverage their skills in a challenging and rewarding environment, with opportunities for career growth and development.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information security, engineering, or a related field.

- 3-8 years of experience in information technology or information security, with a focus on cloud security.

- Proficiency with major public cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure.

- Knowledge of cloud security controls, firewalls, VPCs, security groups, and key management.

- Experience with DevOps practices, automation, and secure SDLC pipelines.

- Familiarity with security standards and regulatory requirements such as NIST, CIS, PCI, ISO 27001, and GDPR.

- Hands-on experience with log management tools like Elastic Stack, Splunk, or similar platforms.

- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CSSP, Azure Security Engineer Associate, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Security Engineer are preferred.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

- Monitor and respond to cloud security alerts, incidents, and access requests within defined SLA/SLO requirements.

- Investigate suspicious activities, unauthorized access, malware indicators, and policy violations to mitigate risks effectively.

- Configure, implement, and troubleshoot Azure security controls, including firewalls, VPNs, network security groups, and access policies.

- Support whitelist requests, cloud application access, port openings, and security exception processes to ensure seamless operations.

- Troubleshoot connectivity issues across Azure resources, virtual machines, networks, endpoints, and enterprise infrastructure.

- Review security logs from SIEM, firewalls, endpoints, and native cloud tools; escalate high-impact issues as needed.

- Manage ServiceNow incidents, maintaining detailed records, resolutions, and escalation procedures.

- Assist in vulnerability management, security assessments, patch validation, and security control testing.

- Support identity and access management processes, including role-based access controls and periodic reviews.

- Perform security configuration reviews of hybrid cloud environments against established standards and best practices.

- Maintain and optimize security management tools to enhance operational visibility, security posture, and compliance.

- Collaborate with infrastructure, network, endpoint, application, and security teams to resolve cross-functional issues.

- Develop and update standard operating procedures, knowledge articles, and automation scripts to improve efficiency.

- Analyze recurring issues, identify trends, and recommend process improvements to reduce incidents and streamline operations.

- Participate in on-call rotations and shift-based support as required to ensure continuous security coverage.

- Contribute to security architecture reviews and provide strategic recommendations for enhancing security posture.
