This senior technical role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the design, development, and architecture of firmware for next-generation Smart RF Amplifiers, Nodes, and Remote Telemetry Modules, including FDX/DOCSIS 4.0 cable access and IoT edge nodes. As a key member of our engineering team, you will serve as a technical lead, bridging software engineering with RF hardware design to bring complex hardware platforms to life. Your expertise will directly impact the development of innovative solutions that enhance connectivity, performance, and security across diverse applications.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

- Preferably 8+ years of embedded software engineering experience with a proven track record as a technical lead or Staff Engineer.

- Deep expertise in ARM Cortex architecture, including assembly language, registers, linker scripts, and memory management.

- Extensive experience with C and C++ programming, especially in embedded environments.

- Strong knowledge of Real-Time Operating Systems such as FreeRTOS, Zephyr, or ThreadX, and bare-metal firmware development.

- Hands-on experience with RF hardware control, including working with RF components like attenuators, equalizers, and power amplifiers, and implementing AGC algorithms.

- Practical experience in integrating and managing LoRaWAN protocols and wireless transceiver modules for low-power, long-range telemetry.

- Ability to read schematics, interpret component datasheets, and utilize hardware debugging tools such as Keil, GDB, JTAG/SWD, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.

- Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including hardware, RF, and software engineers, particularly in a remote or distributed environment.

Responsibilities

- Design, architect, and optimize low-level firmware for ARM Cortex-M and Cortex-A microcontrollers and microprocessors, ensuring efficient operation within RTOS or bare-metal environments.

- Implement and fine-tune dynamic RF control algorithms such as AGC, ALC, tilt compensation, and digital equalizers to enhance signal quality and system performance.

- Collaborate closely with hardware and RF design teams, reviewing schematics and block diagrams to guide pinouts, power management, and peripheral routing.

- Develop robust drivers for I2C, SPI, UART, and GPIO interfaces to control RF chips, sensors, and power management components.

- Design, integrate, and maintain LoRaWAN stacks and application layers for remote telemetry, enabling reliable, low-power communication over long distances.

- Lead initial board bring-up activities, perform hardware/software co-debugging, and troubleshoot complex issues using industry-standard tools.

- Architect system memory maps, optimize code for performance and deterministic execution, and manage resource utilization effectively.

- Implement modern development workflows, including version control, code reviews, and project management tools, to ensure high-quality deliverables.
