We have partnered with an established, high-volume immigration law firm in Miami that is actively seeking an Experienced Immigration Paralegal to support its growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal who already understands the immigration process and can confidently manage case preparation, client communication, filing requirements and deadlines in a busy legal environment. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting USCIS and/or Immigration Court matters, strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple active cases. Professional fluency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred and will be prioritised.
What You'll Be Doing
- Support attorneys with a diverse caseload involving family-based immigration, removal defense, asylum, humanitarian relief, waivers, naturalization and consular processing.
- Prepare and organise immigration forms, supporting documentation, evidence packets and filing materials.
- Assist with USCIS and, where applicable, EOIR filings.
- Gather information and supporting documentation from clients and follow up on outstanding items.
- Communicate with clients in English and Spanish regarding case status, documentation and next steps.
- Maintain accurate case files, deadlines, calendars and case-management records.
- Assist attorneys with hearing and interview preparation.
- Prepare exhibit packets, cover letters, declarations and other supporting materials under attorney supervision.
- Track case progress and agency correspondence.
- Assist with legal research and case preparation as directed by attorneys.
- Coordinate closely with attorneys and other legal staff in a high-volume environment.
- Identify missing documentation, upcoming deadlines and potential case-management issues before they become problems.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of immigration paralegal experience preferred.
- Hands-on experience with USCIS filings required.
- EOIR / Immigration Court experience is highly desirable, particularly removal defense.
- Familiarity with matters such as: Family-based petitions, Naturalization, Removal defense, Asylum, Adjustment of status, Humanitarian immigration matters.
- Strong understanding of immigration documentation and filing procedures.
- Excellent organisational and deadline-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with attorneys.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Experience with immigration case-management software is preferred.
- Professional English/Spanish bilingual fluency strongly preferred.
- Must be able to work on-site in Miami, FL 33161 and have a practical commute to the office.
