Ergo are seeking an Enterprise Data Architect for a long-term contract opportunity with a public-sector client in Dublin. As an Enterprise Data Architect you will play a key role in supporting major digital transformation initiatives, including the implementation of a new ERP platform.
The role will be responsible for documenting and assessing the current enterprise architecture, defining the future-state architecture, and defining system integration requirements in support of major transformation programmes.
This is a hybrid role with great day rates and multi-year extensions.
What will you do?
- Defining the target enterprise architecture across application, data, and integration domains
- Ensuring alignment with organisational IT strategy and future-state operating model
- Establishing architecture governance processes, standards, and design authority inputs
- Provide architecture assurance across solution design, vendor proposals, and implementation
- Leading the design of integration architecture across internal and external systems
- Identify and define integration patterns, standards, and best practices
- Manage integration dependencies across workstreams (finance, data, reporting, etc.)
- Provide technical input into solution design decisions and trade-offs
- Support high-level process and system design activities
- Define technical standards, coding guidelines, and environment strategies
- Ensure security, data governance, and compliance requirements are embedded
What do you need?
- Bachelor's Degree in IT / Engineering
- 6 years experience in Enterprise / Solutions Architecture
- Background in data architecture
Your experience should include the following:
- Enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF or equivalent)
- Integration patterns (API-led, event-driven, ETL, middleware-based)
- Cloud platforms and data technologies (e.g. Azure data services, integration tools)
- Data pipelines and system interoperability
- ERP ecosystems and finance system integrations
- Integration point mapping
