Senior .NET Developer
Primarily Remote (1-2 x a year travel to Surrey)
Let's be upfront about it. This isn't a greenfield startup building the latest AI product, and it isn't a role where you'll spend every day experimenting with the newest technologies.
What it is, however, is a stable, long-term development position within a successful legal services business where software is critical to day-to-day operations. If you're the sort of developer who enjoys solving real business problems, improving established systems, and taking ownership of applications that genuinely matter to the business, this could be a great fit.
The Role
We're looking for an experienced .NET Developer to join our small in-house team and help maintain, improve, and evolve a range of business-critical applications that support our legal and debt recovery operations.
You'll work across a varied technology estate, from established .NET Framework applications through to newer .NET and Blazor development, giving you exposure to both legacy and modern systems.
This is a hands-on role where you'll be involved in everything from feature development and integrations through to maintenance, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
You'll also be someone who doesn't mind occasionally helping colleagues with minor technical issues when required. We're a collaborative business and everyone pitches in when needed.
Technology You'll Be Working With
- C#, VB.NET
- .NET
- ASP.NET MVC
- Blazor (Server & WebAssembly)
- SQL Server / T-SQL
- Azure
What We're Looking For
- Commercial experience developing with C# and .NET
- Experience supporting and enhancing existing applications
- Good SQL Server knowledge
- Comfortable working across both desktop and web-based systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and manage your own workload
- Positive, pragmatic attitude with a willingness to learn
Why Join?
- Stable business with long-term technology investment
- Varied workload across multiple applications and technologies
- Remote first
- Opportunity to take ownership and make a genuine impact
- Supportive, close-knit team environment
- A role focused on practical software engineering rather than chasing technology trends
This position would particularly suit a solid .NET developer who values stability, autonomy and meaningful business impact over working exclusively with the latest frameworks and tools.
