About the Role
We are looking for a Retail Supply Chain Team Lead to oversee demand planning, inventory health, and supplier performance. You will lead a team of demand planners and work closely with Commercial, Category, Warehouse, Finance, and suppliers to ensure product availability while maintaining healthy inventory levels.
Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of demand planners.
- Manage category/supplier portfolios and ensure consistent planning processes.
- Drive team performance and capability development.
Demand Planning & Inventory
- Own stock coverage, in-stock rate, forecast accuracy, and inventory health.
- Oversee demand forecasts and replenishment plans, considering promotions, seasonality, and new launches.
- Identify and mitigate stockouts, overstock, and aged/slow-moving inventory.
- Lead inventory planning for major campaigns and sales events.
Supplier Performance & Compliance
- Monitor supplier OTIF and maintain supplier performance scorecards.
- Identify root causes of supplier issues and drive improvement plans.
- Ensure suppliers comply with inbound requirements such as booking, ASN/PO accuracy, labelling, packaging, and documentation.
- Partner with Warehouse/Inbound teams to resolve delivery and compliance issues.
Reporting & Stakeholder Management
- Provide regular reporting on inventory, availability, OTIF, and supplier compliance.
- Partner with Commercial, Category, Finance, and Warehouse teams to align on inventory targets and operational needs.
- Drive process improvements and automation opportunities.
Requirement
- Experience in demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, or retail supply chain.
- Experience managing or leading a planning team.
- Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with ERP/WMS/planning systems.
- Proficiency in data analysis and dashboarding is an advantage.
- E-commerce or omnichannel retail experience is preferred.
