Job Description
We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer with 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance, test automation, and web application testing. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG/JUnit, CI/CD, and defect management. Experience with POS systems, mobile testing, and API automation will be an added advantage.
Skills & Experience Required
Must Have:
- 8+ years of experience in Software QA / Software Testing / Test Automation.
- Strong expertise in Web UI testing and automation using Selenium WebDriver.
- Hands-on experience with TestNG, JUnit, or similar testing frameworks.
- Strong proficiency in Java programming.
- Experience with Git and version control systems.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with build tools such as Maven, ANT, or similar.
- Experience with debugging/network tools such as Charles Proxy or Fiddler.
- Experience working with JIRA for Agile project management and defect tracking.
- Experience with QMetry or similar test management tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Good to Have:
- Experience in POS system/application testing and automation.
- Experience with mobile application testing and automation.
- Hands-on experience in API testing and automation using Rest Assured, ReadyAPI, or similar tools.
- Experience integrating automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of testing across multiple environments such as QA, STG, and Production-like environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand, analyze, and gather application requirements.
- Develop comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and test plans.
- Design and develop automated test scripts using Selenium and Java.
- Execute manual and automated test cases across different environments such as QA, STG, etc.
- Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA.
- Participate in defect triage and work closely with development and product teams to resolve issues.
- Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks and test scripts.
- Integrate automated test scripts into Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
- Analyze test results and provide clear status reports to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other QA engineers in an Agile environment.
- Support continuous improvement of QA processes, automation coverage, and testing practices.
