Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Operations Engineer with 7+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure operations and Windows environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Active Directory, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Group Policy, virtualization, networking, and PowerShell scripting.
The consultant will be responsible for supporting day-to-day infrastructure operations, troubleshooting complex technical issues, maintaining system availability, and working closely with customer SMEs and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support enterprise Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 environments.
- Administer Active Directory, including users, groups, organizational units, permissions, and domain services.
- Manage and maintain Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and troubleshoot policy-related issues.
- Administer Microsoft 365 services and user environments.
- Provide administration and support for Exchange Online, including mailboxes, distribution groups, permissions, and mail flow.
- Support DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and Windows networking environments.
- Administer and troubleshoot VMware and/or Hyper-V virtual infrastructure.
- Perform infrastructure monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, and performance optimization.
- Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate administrative and operational tasks.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready technical documentation, procedures, and knowledge articles.
- Work directly with customer SMEs to understand requirements and resolve infrastructure issues.
- Support knowledge-transfer activities and contribute to continuous improvement of infrastructure operations.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Azure Administration and Azure infrastructure services.
- Experience providing SQL Server infrastructure support.
- Knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts and technologies.
- Previous experience supporting healthcare or insurance clients.
- ITIL Foundation certification is preferred.
- Experience with enterprise-scale infrastructure environments and hybrid cloud platforms.
