Sourcing Specialist
Elgin, IL | $75,000 - $90,000 + 7.5% Bonus
LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established distribution company in the Elgin area to identify a Sourcing Specialist to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional looking to make an impact in a fast-paced environment while working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support business growth.
The ideal candidate will have experience sourcing materials and packaging, negotiating with suppliers, analyzing data, and managing a high-volume SKU portfolio. This organization is known for its stability, strong leadership, and commitment to developing long-term careers.
What You'll Do
- Source products, packaging, and materials to support business needs
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors
- Analyze purchasing and sourcing data to identify cost savings opportunities
- Manage supplier performance and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, inventory, and supply chain teams
- Utilize advanced Excel skills to track metrics, trends, and purchasing activity
- Support sourcing strategies across a large and diverse SKU portfolio
What We're Looking For
- Experience in sourcing, procurement, purchasing, or supply chain
- Strong supplier negotiation and vendor management experience
- Packaging sourcing experience preferred
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience working in a high-SKU environment is highly desired
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
