About the Opportunity

The company is a product studio focused on the intersection of AI and consumer social, well-funded by leading investors. Its mission is to give everyone a life filled with rich and meaningful friendships.

The flagship product pioneered social audio and has created meaningful connections in over 200 countries. The belief is that voice is the most human form of connection, and AI is about to make it even more extraordinary, positioning the organization to lead the next frontier.

The team is lean, high-impact, and high-ownership. It operates 100% remotely, is founder-led, and product-driven, with a huge, ambitious vision and the right team to make it happen.

The Role

This Chief of Staff position is one of the most important hires for the year. The business is at a pivotal point, and the CEO is looking for a product-focused operator and strategist to partner with. This role reports directly to the CEO, working in lockstep to bring rigor to operating layers, drive a metrics-driven product strategy, optimize through AI implementation, and own high-impact special projects.

This is not a Chief of Staff role where one observes; one will lead. This position carries real, delegated authority, designated by the CEO and the leadership team. It will independently own work that shapes how the business operates, including strategic product insights, cross-company metrics, EPD health, executive effectiveness, AI enablement, and special projects. An Executive Assistant will handle calendaring, event planning, and related tasks, allowing the Chief of Staff and CEO to focus exclusively on providing leverage and impact.

This is a rare opportunity to learn how a high-growth, founder-led company operates and to shape its success. For individuals who gain energy from making a company run and aspire to found or lead one themselves, this role will help achieve those goals.

Who You Are

- A Proven Operator: Possesses 7–10+ years of experience in Chief of Staff, product operations, BizOps, consulting, or other high-accountability operational or strategic roles. Has experience standing up dashboards, complex roadmaps, and operating systems from scratch.

- Thinks Like a Product Person: Has operated within a product organization and understands how products are scoped, built, measured, and shipped. Can distinguish a complete spec from an incomplete one and identify whether a slipping metric is a process or product problem. Consumer/social product experience is a significant advantage.

- Quantitative: Engages directly with data rather than relying solely on analysts. Can pressure-test metric definitions, identify mathematical inaccuracies, and develop a point of view on which levers actually move the business. Is truth-seeking regarding data and understands its importance.

- Operates Exceptionally at Every Altitude: Can view the strategic picture and simultaneously fix a broken process without losing sight of either. Knows when a system is needed versus when a one-off handling is sufficient. Spots inefficiencies, errors, and opportunities immediately through acute attention to detail and established systems. Brings rigor to all tasks without sacrificing speed.

- Always Up to the Challenge: Ready to tackle competitor teardowns, complex models, prototypes, marketing strategies, or difficult questions that haven't had time to be addressed. Does not require a template; moves quickly and delivers finished products to a high standard. Is not defined by one functional area and seeks to master all.

- Has an Athlete's Mindset: Craves feedback and acts on it immediately; growth is non-negotiable. Possesses thick skin, a find-a-way mentality, and eagerness to perform. Moves with urgency and confidence, taking great pride in work and team accomplishments.

- An Exceptional Communicator: Can accurately represent a leader's voice and vision. Writes and speaks clearly and concisely, and knows how to surface the right information to the right people in the right format at the right time. Demonstrates high speed on communication platforms, maintains an organized inbox, and is focused on unblocking the team.

- A Trusted Partner and Teammate: Lacks ego and prioritizes the team's success, believing that building together is crucial for winning. Possesses natural emotional intelligence, enabling navigation of different personalities with ease and composure to build durable relationships across the organization. Has consistently been the "go-to" colleague, friend, or family member, trusted to get things done.

- Thinks Like a Future Founder: Sees beyond the day-to-day. Views this role as a critical proving ground and a rare chance to learn how a running startup operates at the highest level across all functions, alongside a CEO deeply invested in their growth and long-term career.

What You Will Do

- Own the Product Operating System: The CEO will provide the vision; this role will optimize the system that brings it to life. It will provide the structure and rigor to manage product execution, driving accountability across scope, specs, and PM-owned metrics. This is a critical role primed for immediate impact.

- Leverage Data as a Trusted Product Strategist: Partner with the CEO, Product Managers, and the Head of Data to determine what truly moves the product and the industry. Build the quantitative picture of how products grow and use it to direct the company toward the highest-impact work and strategies.

- Own How the Organization Measures Itself and Accelerate with AI: Create the source of truth for company metrics in partnership with functional leaders. Build the machine that measures progress and then find the right ways to accelerate that progress with AI. This will be critical for any future founder, and deep fluency will be developed here.

- Be the CEO's Force Multiplier: Embed in leadership team meetings, propose agendas, guide discussions, and drive execution across the group. Triage roadmaps, escalations, and requests before they reach the CEO, keep the company's top priorities moving, and take on projects that need to be done quickly and well by a trusted individual. Learn the CEO's voice and vision, and own the team meeting and roadmap documents critical for company alignment.

- Create Something Meaningful for the World: Social products allow people to connect in ways previously impossible. Similar to the invention of the telephone or FaceTime, this role will contribute to figuring out something entirely new for the world—a positive product that brings people's voices together to help everyone have a life filled with great friendships.

If you are a talented, ambitious operator and believe you might be a good fit, the organization would love to talk.

The hiring company is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive team.
