IMRIVA is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer / Technical Mentor who combines strong hands-on engineering skills with the ability to mentor, guide and develop other software engineers.
You will work across enterprise software, cloud and AI/ML projects in a modern technology environment including .NET, Java, Python, React, TypeScript, Azure and LLM-based solutions.
This is a hands-on engineering role with real mentoring responsibility — not a pure management position.
For the right candidate, the role offers a strong development path toward broader technical leadership and a potential future Tech Lead position.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are not looking for someone limited to one specific technology stack.
We are looking for a strong senior engineer with excellent software engineering fundamentals, the ability to work across different technologies and a genuine interest in helping other engineers improve.
You will work closely with junior and mid-level engineers, help them solve complex technical challenges, review their work and contribute to raising engineering quality across our projects.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Mentor and support junior and mid-level software engineers
- Conduct structured code reviews and provide clear, actionable feedback
- Help developers solve complex technical, architectural and debugging challenges
- Contribute hands-on to software development when senior expertise is required
- Guide the team on clean code, architecture, design patterns, testing and maintainability
- Improve engineering standards, development processes and code quality
- Support technical decisions across frontend, backend, APIs, cloud and AI-related solutions
- Identify skill gaps and help developers improve through practical coaching
- Support debugging, performance optimization and production-related issues
- Contribute to technical planning, estimation and solution design
- Promote effective use of modern AI-assisted development tools and workflows
- Work closely with project managers, senior engineers and company leadership
- Gradually take ownership of broader technical leadership responsibilities
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Strong professional software engineering experience
- Experience in a senior, mentoring or technical leadership role
- Strong hands-on expertise in at least one major technology ecosystem such as .NET/C#, Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript or Node.js
- Good understanding of modern frontend and backend development
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, databases and distributed applications
- Solid understanding of software architecture and scalable application design
- Strong knowledge of clean code, design patterns, testing and maintainable software
- Experience with Git, GitHub, CI/CD and modern development workflows
- Experience with cloud platforms, ideally Microsoft Azure
- Strong debugging, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience mentoring or technically guiding other developers
- Strong English communication skills
- Ability to explain complex technical topics clearly and practically
- A hands-on mindset and strong sense of ownership
You do not need to be an expert in every technology we use.
