Commercial Drywall Estimator

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Drywall Estimator to join our fast-paced preconstruction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed, competitive material and labor estimates for commercial drywall projects using industry-standard digital takeoff software.
This role does not require supervisory or mentorship responsibilities over junior estimators; it is focused entirely on accurate, efficient execution of bid proposals and takeoffs.
Key Responsibilities
● Perform full architectural plan and specification reviews to prepare comprehensive, accurate cost estimates for commercial drywall projects.
● Utilize On-Screen Takeoff (OST) and Quick Bid to generate accurate material quantity takeoffs and labor estimates.
● Analyze bid documents, scope of work, project risks, and site conditions to formulate competitive proposals.
● Communicate effectively with general contractors, vendors, and internal project managers to resolve scope gaps and clarify project details.
● Ensure bid deadlines are consistently met to support company growth initiatives.
Required Qualifications & Skills
● Experience: Minimum of 5 years of commercial drywall estimating experience.
● Software Proficiency: Hands-on mastery of Quick Bid and On-Screen Takeoff (OST) is required.
● Strong technical background in commercial drywall assemblies, framing, and related interior finishes.
● High attention to detail, strong numerical analytical skills, and clear communication abilities.
● Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a fast-paced setting.
Compensation
● Salary $150,000 to $200,000 DOE
