Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and support Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server databases in on-premises data centers and AWS cloud environments.
- Design, implement, and maintain highly available database solutions including Oracle RAC and SQL Server Always On Availability Groups.
- Perform database migrations from on-premises environments to AWS-hosted databases and Amazon RDS platforms.
- Develop and maintain Terraform (Infrastructure as Code) modules for database provisioning and configuration management.
- Create and manage automation playbooks using Python and automation tools to support database deployment, migration, patching, upgrades, and operational tasks.
- Execute database upgrade projects, client upgrades, and lifecycle management activities.
- Implement database security patching and vulnerability remediation in accordance with organizational standards.
- Support backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity requirements.
- Troubleshoot performance, availability, and capacity issues across database environments.
- Integrate database operations with ServiceNow for change management, incident management, and automation workflows.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, application, and security teams to deliver reliable database services.
Skills needed
