Role Description The DevOps Engineer role at mroads is a full-time position based in Benito Juárez, CMX with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing some work from home. In this role, the DevOps Engineer will design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure to support mroads products and services, including CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing Linux-based systems, monitoring performance and reliability, troubleshooting production issues, and improving system security and resilience. The DevOps Engineer will collaborate closely with software development teams to streamline releases, enhance infrastructure as code practices, and ensure smooth integration and delivery processes. The role also involves documenting infrastructure, following best practices, and contributing to continuous improvement of tools and processes.
Qualifications
- Candidate should possess strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills, including experience with tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
- Candidate should possess solid Software Development skills, with experience in scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Go, or similar) to automate workflows and tooling.
- Candidate should possess hands-on Continuous Integration and deployment skills, including familiarity with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or equivalent.
- Candidate should possess System Administration and Linux skills, including managing servers, monitoring, security hardening, and troubleshooting in production environments.
- Relevant qualifications include experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure monitoring tools.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include knowledge of networking fundamentals, version control with Git, adherence to security and compliance best practices, and strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in DevOps or site reliability engineering.
