About The Role

The Role

As a Senior Consultant within Applied Cryptography and Digital Trust, you will help clients design, assess, and strengthen the security foundations that underpin digital ecosystems. You will work with a broad range of customers on cryptographic security, identity and trust services, governance, regulatory compliance, and cyber resilience.

You will play a key role in advising organizations on cryptographic governance, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), secure communications, key management, digital identities, and emerging topics such as Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC).

This role combines technical expertise, consulting skills, and strategic thinking. You will work closely with clients, colleagues, and industry stakeholders to develop innovative solutions that address current and future cybersecurity challenges.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver cybersecurity consulting projects focused on cryptography and digital trust.

- Perform assessments of cryptographic implementations, architectures, and governance frameworks.

- Advise clients on PKI, certificate management, key management processes, and trust services.

- Support clients in developing cryptographic migration strategies, including preparation for post-quantum cryptography.

- Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations aligned with industry standards and best practices.

- Contribute to security architecture reviews and secure solution design.

- Support compliance initiatives related to cybersecurity regulations and standards.

- Facilitate workshops, present findings to management, and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

- Participate in business development activities, proposal work, and thought leadership.

- Contribute to the growth of DNV Cyber's digital trust and cryptography capabilities. #DNVCyber

Required Qualifications

- Master's degree or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security,

- Mathematics, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field.

- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, cryptography, digital identity, or security architecture.

About You

Strong understanding of modern cryptographic principles and their practical application.

Experience With One Or More Of

- Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) readiness and migration activities,

- Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and certificate lifecycle management,

- Cryptographic governance and enterprise cryptography programmes,

- eIDAS trust services and electronic identities,

- Cloud cryptography and confidential computing.

Security Architecture For Critical Infrastructure Environments

- Experience conducting security assessments, reviews, or consulting engagements.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

- Eligible for national security clearance at least for security level “Secret”.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Post-Quantum Cryptography initiatives, research, or migration planning.

- Familiarity with European cybersecurity legislation and international frameworks such as NIS2, DORA, eIDAS,

- Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), ISO 27001, IEC 62443, ETSI standards, or related regulations.

- Experience working with critical infrastructure sectors such as energy, maritime, healthcare or telecommunications.

- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, GIAC, CEH, or cryptography-related certifications.

- Professional proficiency in Norwegian.
