Senior SDK Engineer – Mobile & AI

We’re working with a fast-growing AI company building technology that enables developers to integrate intelligent, AI-powered capabilities directly into consumer applications.
They’re looking for a Senior SDK Engineer to own a critical part of their developer platform, sitting at the intersection of mobile engineering, SDK development and AI infrastructure.
This isn’t a traditional mobile app role. We’re looking for someone who has built SDKs, libraries, frameworks or APIs that other developers build with.
What You’ll Do
- Design and build production-grade mobile SDKs for iOS and/or Android
- Own SDK architecture, public APIs and developer-facing interfaces
- Build integrations between mobile applications and AI/ML infrastructure
- Improve performance, reliability, latency and developer experience
- Manage API evolution, versioning and backwards compatibility
- Work closely with AI/ML, backend and infrastructure engineers
- Help shape the architecture and technical direction of the developer platform
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong software engineering background with experience in Swift, Kotlin, Java and/or Objective-C
- Experience building SDKs, libraries, frameworks or developer platforms
- Strong understanding of API design and third-party integrations
- Experience with mobile performance, networking, concurrency and testing
- Exposure to AI/ML infrastructure, LLMs, Generative AI or on-device ML
- Comfortable owning technically complex systems from design through production
Experience building an AI/ML SDK, mobile developer platform or widely adopted developer-facing library would be particularly interesting.
This is an opportunity to take significant ownership of a core part of an emerging AI platform and define how developers integrate its technology into real-world applications.
