We are hiring an Embedded Firmware Engineer to develop the software that runs on a medical device — surgical tools, monitors, diagnostics, or similar capital / handheld equipment.
You will write C/C++ firmware, bring up boards with electrical engineering, and help take that software through test and release. This is on-device product work, not imaging AI or cloud apps.
What you will do
- Design and maintain firmware in C/C++ on microcontrollers and/or embedded Linux
- Own or support boot, drivers, communications, alarms, and device-state logic
- Debug hardware/software issues in the lab
- Support verification, manufacturing flash/test, and field updates
- Work to a controlled software process (requirements, reviews, traceability)
What you need
- Strong embedded C/C++
- RTOS and/or embedded Linux
- Board bring-up, drivers, or other hands-on hardware work
- Experience on a shipped physical product
- Medical, IVD, or other regulated-product background is useful (auto or industrial safety also transfers)
Nice to have
- IEC 62304 / ISO 14971 familiarity
- Unit test or HIL
- Secure boot or signed updates
