Finance Manager (15-Month FTC) | Media & Publishing | London
A leading UK media and publishing organisation is seeking a commercially focused Finance Manager to join the business on a 15-month maternity cover contract, with a strong likelihood of the role becoming permanent.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to partner with senior operational stakeholders across a high-profile publishing division, supporting commercial decision making, subscription growth initiatives and editorial cost management.
The Role
Working closely with senior leadership, you will:
- Act as a key Finance Business Partner to editorial, marketing and commercial stakeholders
- Own and manage a significant editorial cost base, driving financial insight and cost control
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and scenario modelling processes
- Support subscription and revenue growth initiatives through detailed commercial analysis
- Deliver KPI reporting, trend analysis and investment appraisals
- Challenge stakeholders constructively and provide robust financial recommendations
- Mentor and develop a junior team member
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
- Strong Finance Business Partner with approximately 3-5+ years' partnering experience
- Experienced in managing sizeable cost bases and delivering commercial analysis
- Comfortable influencing senior and sometimes challenging stakeholders
- Resilient, personable and relationship-driven
- Commercially minded, hands-on and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ideally from a media, publishing, subscriptions, consumer or digital business, although strong candidates from other sectors will be considered
Package
- £75,000 - £80,000 base salary
