Oracle HCM Solution Architect – UK
We are looking for an experienced Oracle HCM Solution Architect to lead solution design and business engagement across Oracle HCM. This is a client-facing role requiring strong knowledge of Oracle HCM business processes, UK legislation and the relationships between different HCM modules.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working directly with business stakeholders to understand requirements, challenge existing processes and translate business needs into effective Oracle HCM solutions. This is a Solution Architecture role rather than a hands-on configuration position.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience working as an Oracle HCM Solution Architect, ideally across complex Oracle Cloud HCM programmes.
- Excellent knowledge of Oracle Core HR, including UK legislation and statutory requirements.
- Strong functional knowledge of Oracle Absence Management and Oracle Time and Labor (OTL).
- Understanding of how Core HR, Absence, OTL and other HCM modules interact and exchange information.
- Good understanding of Oracle Payroll, including how Core HR, Absence and OTL processes impact payroll, although hands-on Payroll configuration is not required.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into appropriate Oracle HCM solutions and business processes.
- Experience leading business process discussions and solution design workshops with senior stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end HCM processes and how different modules should work together within an overall solution.
- Able to explain complex Oracle functionality clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence working directly with clients on a day-to-day basis.
- Able to challenge requirements where appropriate and provide practical recommendations based on Oracle HCM capabilities and best practice.
- Experience producing solution designs, process documentation and architectural recommendations.
- Comfortable working collaboratively with functional consultants, technical teams, testers and other project stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel when required, including occasional periods on-site, rather than requiring weekly travel.
- Able to respond to project requirements with flexibility and attend client sites when there is a business need.
The Role:
- Own and lead the Solution Architecture across relevant Oracle HCM areas.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand current processes, pain points and future requirements.
- Design effective Oracle HCM business processes and explain how these can be delivered within the Oracle Cloud platform.
- Ensure appropriate integration and alignment between Core HR, Absence, OTL, Payroll and related HCM modules.
- Lead solutioning discussions and workshops with the client.
- Provide functional and architectural guidance to the wider Oracle HCM team.
- Ensure proposed solutions are aligned with UK legislation, Oracle capabilities and client business requirements.
- Support project teams through design, testing and implementation phases where required.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the client, providing clear communication and practical solution recommendations.
- Provide architectural oversight without necessarily being responsible for hands-on configuration.
