Job Responsibilities:
- Meet with clients to understand their legal matters, evaluate potential claims and defenses, and develop effective litigation strategies.
- Conduct comprehensive legal and case research, including interviewing witnesses, reviewing depositions and evidence, and assessing client objectives.
- Draft motions, pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents and manage all phases of discovery.
- Conduct and defend depositions involving opposing parties, experts, and third-party witnesses.
- Represent clients at hearings, conferences, and trials, including presenting oral arguments and advocating for motions and legal positions.
- Handle cases through discovery, settlement negotiations, hearings, and trial.
- Assist clients with reviewing and executing settlement agreements.
- Experience handling diverse matters involving employment law, civil litigation, professional licensing, and school law.
- Ability to manage complex cases while working directly with experienced litigators and clients.
- Strong legal research, written advocacy, oral argument, negotiation, case management, and client communication skills.
