We are seeking a Java Developer with strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, JPA/Hibernate, and SQL to design, develop, test, and deploy scalable software solutions.

The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering teams to build highly available applications using microservices, distributed messaging, virtualization, software-defined networking, and persistent data technologies. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, independent technical judgment, and the ability to deliver reliable solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Core Development

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java applications and Spring Boot microservices.

- Build and consume RESTful and gRPC APIs.

- Develop clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following SOLID principles and engineering standards.

- Work with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.

- Implement data persistence using JPA/Hibernate.

- Integrate distributed messaging platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS.

- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, design sessions, and sprint planning.

- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, including performance tuning and root cause analysis.

Design & Architecture

- Contribute to HLD, LLD, solution architecture, and application/component design.

- Evaluate technical options and reuse, enhance, or reconfigure existing components where appropriate.

- Apply proven design patterns and engineering best practices to improve scalability, maintainability, performance, and cost efficiency.

- Collaborate with architects and development teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Testing & Quality

- Develop and review unit and integration test cases.

- Use testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.

- Perform debugging, validation, and defect resolution throughout the development lifecycle.

- Support testing teams by providing technical clarification and reviewing test results.

- Identify defect trends and implement proactive measures to improve software quality.

Cloud, DevOps & Deployment

- Work with Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.

- Support application deployment and environment promotion across development, QA, and production.

- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.

- Execute and monitor software releases while ensuring production readiness.

AI-Assisted Development

- Effectively leverage AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar tools as part of the development workflow.

- Use AI-assisted development to improve engineering productivity, code quality, testing, and problem-solving.

- Contribute to engineering productivity initiatives and adoption of AI development tools.

Collaboration & Customer Engagement

- Work effectively with cross-functional engineering and technical teams.

- Clarify requirements and provide technical guidance to development and testing teams.

- Present technical/design options and participate in product or solution demonstrations when required.

- Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Maintain strong customer-service orientation and professional technical communication.

Required Qualifications

- 3–6 years of professional Java development experience.

- Strong proficiency in Java 11+.

- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot / Spring Framework.

- Strong experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices.

- Solid understanding of SQL and relational database design.

- Hands-on experience with JPA/Hibernate.

- Experience with JUnit and Mockito or similar testing frameworks.

- Working knowledge of Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.

- Practical experience using AI coding assistants in a real-world software development environment.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and technical writing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Kafka or other event-streaming platforms.

- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Experience with Kubernetes.

- Knowledge of Spring Security, OAuth2, and JWT.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

- Experience with observability tools such as Datadog, Splunk, or Grafana.

- Exposure to virtualization, distributed systems, or software-defined networking.

- Review code, designs, technical documentation, and test results.

- Provide technical guidance to peers and junior developers.

- Participate in effort estimation, sprint planning, and delivery management.

- Perform defect root cause analysis (RCA) and implement mitigation strategies.

- Maintain and contribute to reusable technical documentation, templates, and standards.

- Support release management and production deployments.

- Collaborate with architects, developers, testers, and other technical teams.

- Build strong stakeholder relationships through timely, high-quality delivery.
