Junior Field Engineer / Technician

Job Summary:
Seeking a Junior Field Engineer/Technician to support transmission, distribution, and substation projects through field inspections, technical documentation, quantity takeoffs, and project coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review drawings, one-line diagrams, specifications, and work orders.
- Conduct field visits and document site conditions, measurements, and quantities.
- Assist with quantity takeoffs, scope reviews, and basic calculations.
- Track materials, project documentation, and scope changes.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and construction teams.
- Identify field discrepancies and constructability issues.
- Maintain project reports and Excel spreadsheets.
- Follow all safety and utility standards.
Requirements:
- Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or related field.
- 1–3 years of utility/electrical construction experience.
- Basic knowledge of transmission, distribution, or substations.
- Ability to read electrical/engineering drawings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Office.
- Strong communication and attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel to project sites occasionally.
