We are seeking an Entry-Level Manufacturing Engineer to support manufacturing operations, equipment, tooling, and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a hands-on engineering opportunity ideal for someone with a mechanical background who enjoys problem-solving and working directly with production teams on the manufacturing floor.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and improving manufacturing processes, machinery, equipment, fixtures, and tooling.
- Support the design, development, modification, and implementation of fixtures and manufacturing equipment.
- Conduct Lean and Kaizen activities focused on workflow, equipment layouts, waste reduction, setup reduction, quality, and cost improvements.
- Work closely with operators and other technical team members to identify and resolve manufacturing and equipment issues.
- Evaluate machine performance, troubleshoot problems, and support implementation of operating procedures.
- Develop manufacturing documentation, including tooling and fixture drawings, setup instructions, and operating procedures.
- Support process design and modification projects.
- Maintain manufacturing records and documentation consistent with ISO requirements.
- Assist with estimating manufacturing and tooling costs for new products.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline preferred.
- Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude and interest in manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks, Creo/ProE, or similar 3D CAD software.
- Exposure to tooling, fixture design, machining, equipment, or manufacturing processes preferred.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, or continuous improvement is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and project-management skills.
- Comfortable working directly with operators in a hands-on manufacturing/shop-floor environment.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and eager to learn and grow within manufacturing engineering.
