Data Management & Governance Consultant
We are looking for an experienced Data Management & Governance Consultant to work across business and technology teams, helping organisations improve how data is managed, governed and used to support business outcomes.
The role will involve business consulting, requirements gathering, data analysis and governance, working closely with stakeholders to define data requirements, improve data quality and support effective data management solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and translate business requirements into effective data management solutions.
- Support the development and implementation of Data Management and Data Governance frameworks.
- Analyse data, identify data quality issues and support remediation initiatives.
- Work across metadata management, master data management and data quality activities.
- Partner with business and technology teams to ensure data requirements are clearly understood and delivered.
- Support initiatives involving Data Warehousing and BI/Analytics platforms.
- Manage stakeholders across business, technology and delivery teams.
- Contribute to delivery within Agile environments.
- Ensure data solutions align with relevant regulatory, compliance and governance requirements.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of Data Management and Data Governance frameworks.
- Proven experience in business consulting and requirements gathering.
- Strong experience in data analysis, data quality, metadata management and/or master data management.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience with Data Warehousing and BI/Analytics platforms.
- Ability to effectively bridge business and technology teams.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- Understanding of data-related regulatory and compliance requirements.
Preferred Skills
- Experience delivering enterprise-wide data governance or transformation programmes.
- Experience with data governance, metadata or MDM tools.
- Knowledge of industry-specific data regulations and controls.
- Experience working with senior business and technology stakeholders.
