Our client is an innovative aerospace engineering company developing advanced flight control systems for both conventional aircraft and emerging electric aircraft technologies.
They are looking for an ambitious Mechanical Engineer to join their growing engineering team and contribute throughout the full product development lifecycle from concept design through testing, manufacture and production.
Responsibilities
- Support full product development lifecycle from concept through manufacture
- Design mechanical systems and components
- Produce detailed engineering designs and documentation
- Develop and test prototypes
- Conduct engineering analysis and interpret results
- Evaluate product performance, reliability and safety
- Identify engineering issues and implement practical solutions
- Modify existing designs to improve functionality and performance
- Prepare technical documentation and reports
- Support project planning and budgeting
- Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams
- Continuously develop engineering knowledge and technical capability
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Experience using CAD and CAM software
- Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo/ProE or similar CAD packages
- Knowledge of engineering analysis software such as ANSYS
- Experience using MATLAB, LabVIEW or equivalent engineering tools
- Strong understanding of:
- Mechanics
- Materials
- Thermodynamics
- Kinematics
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and technical writing ability
