TechHeads is delighted to be partnering with one of our clients recruiting for an experienced Operational Readiness Project Manager to join a major technology transformation programme in Dublin.
This is a key role responsible for coordinating and managing Operational Readiness Testing (ORT) across a complex, multi-workstream environment. You will work across Technology, Infrastructure, Security, Service Delivery, Finance, Back Office and other operational teams to ensure the organisation is fully prepared to operate, support and maintain the service once it goes live.
This is not a hands-on testing role. You will not be expected to personally execute every test. Instead, you will be responsible for bringing the right people together, coordinating the testing programme, managing dependencies and ensuring each workstream delivers what is required
Key Responsibilities:
You will take ownership of the ORT schedule and act as the central point of coordination across the programme.
Your role will be to make sure the organisation can demonstrate that its technology, people and processes are ready for Production.
This will include testing not only whether systems work, but what happens when things don't work.
- Own and coordinate the Operational Readiness Testing schedule.
- Coordinate testing across multiple workstreams including ICT, Infrastructure, Security, Service Delivery, Finance, Back Office and Disaster Recovery.
- Ensure each team has the appropriate test cases, resources, environments, documentation and evidence in place.
- Coordinate the execution of the ORT plan and ensure activities are completed within agreed timelines.
- Manage dependencies between different teams and workstreams.
- Track progress, defects, risks, issues and outstanding actions.
- Ensure defects are logged, assigned and driven through to resolution.
- Coordinate Security-related testing including penetration testing, vulnerability testing, accounts, access and role-based permissions.
- Work with Infrastructure and ICT teams on high availability, resilience, failover and Disaster Recovery scenarios.
- Coordinate testing of operational processes including Incident, Problem and Change Management.
- Ensure operational teams have the appropriate training, knowledge and documentation to support the service.
- Present the ORT schedule and progress to senior client stakeholders.
- Work closely with senior programme leadership to ensure ORT remains aligned to the overall delivery plan.
Requirements:
- 5+ year’s experience in testing, operational readiness, service transition, technical project management, service delivery, or IT operations.
- Proven experience coordinating complex technology programmes involving multiple technical and business workstreams.
- Proven experience across Operational Readiness Testing (ORT).
- Experience creating and managing test schedules, plans, dependencies, resources, risks, issues and reporting.
- Strong understanding of operational readiness, including people, process and technology, and ensuring services are ready to be operated, supported and maintained in Production.
- Candidate must currently be located in Ireland and hold an EU Passport or Stamp 4 Visa.
Salary: €75,000 - €85,000 DOE
