Capacity Building & Training Specialist

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Capacity Building & Training Specialist to support large-scale public sector transformation and livelihood initiatives. The role will focus on designing, developing, and implementing capacity-building interventions for government stakeholders and program beneficiaries through both digital and classroom-based training methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement comprehensive capacity-building and training strategies aligned with project objectives.
- Develop training curricula, content, toolkits, learning modules, facilitator guides, and assessment frameworks.
- Conduct Training Needs Assessments (TNA) and identify learning gaps among stakeholders.
- Plan and deliver workshops, training sessions, webinars, and orientation programs for government officials and partner organizations.
- Leverage digital learning platforms and technology-enabled training solutions to enhance learning outcomes.
- Coordinate with government departments, implementation agencies, and project teams for smooth execution of training initiatives.
- Develop monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to assess training effectiveness and impact.
- Maintain training databases, participant records, learning reports, and progress dashboards.
- Support preparation of project reports, presentations, knowledge products, and stakeholder communication materials.
- Ensure quality assurance and adherence to project timelines and deliverables.
Educational Qualification:
- Master's Degree / Postgraduate qualification in:
- Business Administration (MBA)
- Mass Communication
- Public Policy
- Development Studies
- Human Resource Management
- Education, Training & Development
- Or any equivalent discipline
Experience Required:
- Minimum 5 years of overall professional experience.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in designing and implementing capacity-building or training programs.
Experience working with:
- Central Government ministries/departments
- State Government agencies
- International development organizations
- Multilateral or donor-funded projects
- Proven experience in digital learning interventions, e-learning platforms, or blended learning solutions.
- Experience in public sector, livelihoods, skills development, economic growth, or social sector programs will be preferred.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong instructional design and curriculum development skills.
- Expertise in adult learning methodologies and training facilitation.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
- Strong report writing, documentation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and work in a fast-paced consulting environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience working on large-scale government transformation or livelihood programs.
- Exposure to Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) frameworks for learning interventions.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital learning tools.
- Willingness to travel as required for project assignments.
