IT Trainer

West Midlands – Hybrid

Up to £40,000

Tenth Revolution Group is supporting an established professional services organisation with the recruitment of an IT Trainer to join its internal technology team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT Trainer to take ownership of employee onboarding, refresher training and the creation of engaging learning materials. Working alongside an existing IT Trainer, you will help employees use the organisation’s technology confidently, effectively and securely.

The role will involve delivering both structured and responsive training across Microsoft 365 and a range of specialist business applications. You will work closely with the IT support team, department heads and wider stakeholders to identify knowledge gaps and ensure training remains aligned with business requirements.

What you’ll be doing:

- Delivering comprehensive IT induction training to new employees.

- Tailoring onboarding sessions to suit different roles, teams and levels of technical ability.

- Developing and maintaining structured onboarding and refresher training programmes.

- Identifying skills gaps and arranging targeted training sessions for existing employees.

- Delivering training on Microsoft 365 applications and other business-critical systems.

- Creating clear and engaging guides, presentations, videos and e-learning materials.

- Helping to develop and maintain an accessible online library of training resources.

- Designing assessments and testing methods to measure user understanding and proficiency.

- Supporting the rollout of new software, system updates and changes to working practices.

- Working with the IT support team to identify recurring issues that could be addressed through training.

- Collaborating with department heads to ensure training supports operational and business needs.

- Exploring new learning methods and continuously improving the organisation’s training approach.

What we’re looking for:

- Previous experience working as an IT Trainer within a legal or professional services environment.

- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications.

- Experience delivering training to users with varying levels of technical confidence.

- An understanding of the systems, software and working practices commonly used within a law firm.

- Experience creating effective training guides, presentations and digital learning materials.

- Familiarity with e-learning platforms and online training resources.

- Strong presentation, communication and relationship-building skills.

- The ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical users.

- A proactive approach to identifying training needs and improving existing programmes.

- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple training requirements.

- A relevant IT training or learning and development certification would be advantageous but is not essential.

Location and hybrid working:

This is a hybrid position based in the West Midlands. The successful candidate should expect to attend the office approximately three to four days per week during their probation period, reducing to around two days per week once established.

Due to limited public transport links near the office, applicants should ideally drive or have a reliable way of travelling to the site. Some flexibility around office attendance may also be required depending on training schedules and business needs.

This is a strong opportunity to join a supportive internal IT function, work alongside an experienced trainer and play an important role in improving digital confidence and technology adoption across the organisation.
