Power Platform Developer
West Midlands – Hybrid
£55,000–£60,000
Nigel Frank is working with an established professional services organisation seeking a Power Platform Developer to join its internal technology function.
This position would suit a hands-on developer who enjoys taking ownership of solutions and working directly with business users. You will help design, build and support applications that improve processes across the organisation, working primarily with Microsoft Power Platform alongside case-management systems and other business-critical applications.
The role offers broad exposure across application development, workflow automation, integrations and technical support. You will be involved throughout the full development lifecycle, from discussing requirements with stakeholders through to building, testing, documenting and deploying solutions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and developing solutions using Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Creating applications and automated workflows from the ground up.
- Meeting with stakeholders to understand business challenges and turn them into effective technical solutions.
- Maintaining and enhancing existing Power Platform applications and processes.
- Developing integrations across Power Platform, Microsoft 365 and third-party systems.
- Working with REST APIs, Dataverse and relational databases.
- Supporting the development of workflows, templates, scripts and data structures within case-management platforms.
- Developing and maintaining applications, modules and extensions using .NET or C#.
- Investigating and resolving issues involving applications, databases, integrations and automated processes.
- Producing clear technical documentation and completing thorough testing before release.
- Following suitable development, security, version-control and quality standards.
What we’re looking for:
- Commercial experience developing solutions with Microsoft Power Platform.
- Strong practical knowledge of Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Evidence of building applications, automations or technical solutions from scratch.
- Experience working with SQL and relational databases.
- Knowledge of system integrations using REST APIs, Dataverse or third-party platforms.
- Development experience with .NET, C# or another object-oriented programming language.
- An understanding of the software-development lifecycle, testing and version control.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Confident communication skills and the ability to work effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive and self-sufficient approach, with the ability to manage your own workload and take responsibility for delivery.
Previous exposure to VisualFiles, Intapp or a similar case-management or workflow system would be advantageous, although it is not essential.
Location and hybrid working:
This is a hybrid position based in the West Midlands. The successful candidate will typically attend the office three to four days per week during their probation period, reducing to approximately two days per week once established.
Because the office has limited public transport links, applicants should ideally drive or have a reliable way of travelling to the site. Some additional flexibility around office attendance may occasionally be required depending on business and project needs.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative internal technology team, take ownership of meaningful Power Platform projects and expand your experience across integrations, case-management technology and wider business applications.
