About the Role
A Public Affairs Manager is sought to monitor political and regulatory developments, shape policy positions and build strong relationships with political and external stakeholders. The role focuses on labour law, consumer law, digital policy and ESG, working across legal, HR, operations, communications and ESG teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyse political and regulatory developments affecting the business.
- Develop position papers, responses to legislation and political briefings.
- Identify and build relationships with politicians, government bodies, associations and other key stakeholders, particularly at local level.
- Plan and deliver digital and offline Public Affairs and ESG campaigns.
- Coordinate studies and expert reports supporting policy positions.
- Use digital tools and generative AI to improve Public Affairs efficiency and evidence-based engagement.
- Support stakeholder mapping, political engagement and campaign activity.
Requirements
- Degree in Politics, Law, Economics or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Public Affairs or political consulting.
- Experience with labour law, platform economy, digital policy and/or ESG.
- Strong experience producing position papers, policy responses and political briefings.
- Established network among political and public-sector stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skills.
- Fluent German and business-level English.
- Interest in and willingness to use generative/agentic AI tools.
Preferred
- Experience with municipal-level government relations.
- Social media and grassroots campaigning experience.
- Experience with digital and data-driven Public Affairs tools.
- Experience managing Public Affairs or campaign agencies.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace, project management tools and AI platforms such as Claude.
