Role Description The Perunding Kewangan Islam (Islamic Financial Consultant) is a full-time, hybrid role based in Puchong, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. This role focuses on providing Shariah-compliant financial advisory services to customers, including assessing financial needs, recommending appropriate takaful solutions, and supporting customers through the onboarding and servicing lifecycle. Daily tasks include meeting prospective and existing customers, conducting needs analysis, preparing proposals, and ensuring all advice and documentation comply with Islamic financial principles and regulatory requirements. The role also involves participating in sales and marketing activities, maintaining accurate records in relevant systems, and collaborating with internal teams to resolve customer queries and improve service quality. The consultant is expected to meet performance targets, continuously develop product and industry knowledge, and uphold PruBSN’s values in every customer interaction.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge or interest in Islamic finance and takaful principles, with the ability to provide Shariah-compliant financial advice.
- Customer-facing skills including relationship building, consultation, and effective communication in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Sales and business development capabilities, such as prospecting, needs analysis, and closing, ideally within insurance, takaful, or financial services.
- Analytical and organizational skills, including attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple customer cases.
- Comfort with digital tools and platforms (e.g., CRM systems, online meeting tools, and basic office software) to support hybrid work arrangements.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a proactive, target-driven, and ethical approach to work.
- Relevant academic background in finance, business, economics, or related fields is an advantage; professional certifications in Islamic finance or takaful are beneficial.
- Prior experience in takaful, insurance, banking, or financial advisory is preferred but motivated early-career candidates will be considered.
